Two workforce studies

Research, People & Culture

The first asks what an employer owes someone who has survived domestic and family violence: what the Fair Work Act and the psychosocial-risk framework require on paper, and what a frontline manager actually does on the day.

The second reads child protection law in New South Wales against the Australian Capital Territory, and follows the difference down into internal policy and into practice.

Post-release reintegration and financial independence

Led the policy brief group

Written from strengths rather than deficits: kinship obligations as an asset, community control of the programme, cross-agency work, and practice that assumes trauma rather than discovering it late.

Wrote and taught it

Experiences of Pregnancy and Pregnancy Leave in the Workplace

Co-author, with Singithi Herath, Tamjid Sami and Tiffany Co

Commissioned through the Sydney Policy Reform Project, and written against the Commission’s own national inquiry of 2014: what changed in law and workplace practice since, what did not, and who is still carrying the cost.

Deposited open access at the University of Sydney in November 2025.
